Pesky Critters
Reviewed By: KATE (NANUET, NY)
Got this feeder for my birds. Unfortunately, the squirrels found it too. The construction did not take this into account and as a result the holding pegs have been chewed away and it's useless. My advice is that find something else that is sturdier and squirrel- proof.

Enjoyment

I really enjoy watching and photographing the birds who come to this feeder. I have it hanging on a pole and the squirrels don't seem get to it. It's about six feet off the ground and far enough where unwanted animals cannot get there. I've had this about two seasons and it still is in good shape and useful.

For Chipmunks or Birds
Reviewed By: Gloria Darrington (Minden, Nevada)
When it is warm and sunny outside the our chipmunks come out to play. They love this feeder. Sometimes they share with the birds. We have it hanging on a chain on a pole next to a large rock that is home for the chipmunks. The few ground squirrels that we have around don't bother with it. Great fun watching the little chipmunks. Also on the pole is a rack that we put corn on. We treat our garden friends well. G.D./NV

Love this feeder
Reviewed By: Anne Wilding (Webster Groves, MO)
You have to hang this feeder where you have a baffle so squirrels can't get to it. If you do, it is wonderful. You see the birds for a long time as they work to free a peanut. It attracts woodpeckers, nuthatches, and blue jays.

Fun to watch

As far as squirrels go, they once managed to get every last peanut one way or the other. Now that I have a pole system and have located it far enough away from all squirrel "launch pads"(with a baffle, as well) they have been foiled! The jays, nuthatches, chick-a-dees, etc. love the feeder...but so do the grackles, who are just as ingenious as any other critter when it comes to peanuts. The perches on this feeder fell off, and, try as I might I can't get them to stay fastened. Finally, I said to heck with them. Birds don't mind one bit.
