I have had no problem with squirrels since I put one on my feeder, and I feed squirrels on their own feeder near the bird feeder.  -  Wednesday, February 04, 2009 Only one problem Reviewed By: Marc Benson (Grafton, Wisconsin) I purchased one of these at a local feed store and it really works good. The only problem was that my pole was less than 1/2 inch in diameter and the coupler would not secure to the pole. I solved this problem by cutting up a small piece of rubber hose to put between the pole and coupler to increase the diameter of the pole and it works great. Maybe you should include a small piece of hose in the kit to adapt it to smaller diameter poles. Other than that, it is a great product,
