Bird Grub®

  (13 customer reviews)

Bird Grub consists of 100% roasted caterpillars that contain the fat, protein and potassium insect-eating birds need. The dehydrated caterpillars are more convenient than live mealworms and don’t move from the feeder. They are also mess free and will keep for up to one year in a cool, dry place.

Bird grubs
Reviewed By: mary dufrain (clevenger) (tehachapi, ca)
My birds love these grubs. I use them sparingly as a specialty food. I love bluebirds and they love these, so lots of bluebird nests and babies every year. I've been offering these grubs for ten years or more and when I go into my yard to fill these feeders, I have bluebirds rejoicing. They flutter about , flashing colors of blue everywhere. It's spectacular, just like a Disney movie. The only drawback is that I keep these grubs in a glass jar on my kitchen counter. The jar is stored with a lot of other jars of raisins, sunflower seeds, dried fruit or nuts. So when someone is rummaging for a snack they'll eventually run into a jar of Bird Grub. It use to evoke cries of disgust, yuck bugs, gross,I've lost my appetite. I'd just say, don't eat all the grub, leave some for the birds. Now the grandkids are rummaging for snacks, the look on their face when they find that jar of bugs....priceless.

Bird Grubs
Reviewed By: Carol Ann (Boxford, Massachusetts)
I love the bird grubs, they're so simple to use and attract so many different types of birds, chickadees, tufted tit mouse, wrens, and nut hatches love these grubs. A Carolina wren just raised three babies on my front porch, and since I knew she loved these grubs I filled a dish daily and watched her feed her young. This is a wonderful supplement to your bird feeding. I love this company. I have been a customer for more than three years. They stand behind all they sell and are very good to their customers. Cudos to a wonderful bird company.

Very bad service
Reviewed By: Mike (Ingleside, Illinois)
The grubs are great. The birds devour them and keep coming back for more. Shipping on the other hand is terrible. I ordered grubs in the beginning of July and they are not due to be shipped until the end of August. Go somewhere else if you want delivery in a timely manner.
