Starlings still love it
Reviewed By:
Kim (Hagerstown, Md)
I purchased this suet feeder because the Starlings are very tenacious.
At first it did work but, then they figured it out and even teach their babies how to hover and eat. They look like big hummingbirds hovering under the feeder.
It is truely comical to watch even though they leave nothing for my woodpecker family, fortunately we have another one in the lower part of the yard so that they can share.

No Starlings or Squirrels
Reviewed By:
Margaret Mariam (Jamaica Plain, MA)
Neither squirrels nor starlings use my feeder. I did put a squirrel guard above it after they chewed through the hanger of a previous one. And now it is solely used by songbirds, woodpeckers and chickadees. I'm very happy with mine. Maybe the Boston starlings aren't as smart as the ones in Maryland. : )
