Cupboard Moth TrapTM
Stops Indian meal moths from ruining your stored birdseed

  (2 customer reviews)

Have you ever opened a bag of birdseed and little brown moths came flying out? These Indian meal moths and their larvae attack birdseed in the same way they attack flour, cereal, grains, seeds, chocolate, rice, nuts - even dog food. Small larvae hatch in stored seeds and food and will infest nearly any storage area.

Unlike other traps, these use both visual and pheromone technology to lure, capture and reduce infestation of Indian meal moths. The traps attract the moths with powerful sex pheromone lures as well as a patented black and white printed pattern. Moths are caught on the large sticky surface. In extensive tests, we found that these innovative traps caught more Indian meal moths than other traps. Place the cardboard traps in a cabinet or hang them from shelves in your storage shed or garage. They are non-toxic and free of pesticides, so can be placed in cabinets and pantries where food is stored, as well. Traps catch Mediterranean flour moths, almond moths and tobacco moths. Lures last for 6 weeks, after which you can replace the lure or hang a fresh trap. Traps measure 8" x 5-1/8", and may be hung or stood upright like an open book.

I had purchased some peanuts from a local feed store to feed the squirrels. I stored the bag in a storage room and forgot about it. About a month later, I started to have moths flying through the living area. I found the moths to be coming from the bag of peanuts. The larvae had eaten through the plastic bag and released numerous moths. I searched the internet and located this product. Within three weeks, the moths were eliminated. They could not resist these moth traps. I believe that the visual black and white stripes helped lure the months to the traps along with the pheromone lure.

I was saving a gingerbread house that my daughter made. It became infested with the tiny moths. Your traps captured all the moths that escaped into my home. Thanks!
